Early Beginnings Class (Ages 0-3)

Early Beginnings Class offers families with children ages birth to three a multi-age class filled with rhymes, songs, finger-plays, gross and fine motor activities, and opportunities to experience different instruments in a warm, social, and inclusive setting.

Early Beginnings Class gives children the opportunity to interact with other young children and adults as they experience the fundamentals of music: listening, singing, and moving. Uniquely, the class also emphasizes the importance of human connection in guiding the children's interaction with one another in the class, as well as offering parents and caregivers time to journal and discuss relevant topics with the other adults at the end of each class.

Early Beginnings is designed to be repeated. As children grow, their musical and social experience of the class will change and evolve from the babies who once watched the class from their caregiver's arms, to toddlers and preschoolers, leading the little ones with their hand motions and singing. The songs and rhymes we use will become welcome, recognized, and beloved.

Early Beginnings is a 10 week class beginning September the 9th at 9:00 AM  *outdoors* at Carrollton United Methodist Church. Class occurs weekly on Thursdays. The cost of the class is $100. Need-based scholarships are available. Please click here for the registration form and email chloehelene@gmail.com for more information.

COVID Precautions: All adults and all children ages 2 and over will be required to mask at all Early Beginnings classes. Individual packets of instruments and materials for the class will be designated for each family. We will begin this class outdoors at Carrollton United Methodist Church with the intention of moving indoors if/when the COVID circumstances change.

Pre-Instrument Class builds off the musical and social foundations built in the Early Beginnings Class as a bridge to beginning Suzuki violin lessons.

Using the fundamentals of music: listening, singing, and moving, children develop the specific fine-motor, musical, and social skills needed to begin learning the violin. This class embraces the importance of human connection in guiding the children's interaction with one another in the class, and offers Suzuki parent education throughout the class to help prepare the parent/caregiver for beginning violin lessons with their child.

Pre-Instrument class designed for children who are 3-4 years old and are considering Suzuki violin lessons the following year.

Pre-Instrument Class is a 10 week class at 8:00 AM on Saturdays at an Uptown location. The class will be offered fall and spring semesters. $200. Need-based scholarships are available. Please email chloehelene@gmail.com for more information or to register for the class.
